Why are they still selling Halloween themed "Rice Krispies Squares" in March?

Image
About a week ago, Sainsbury's delivered this pack of four "Gooey Marshmallow" flavoured "Rice Krispies Squares" to my family's house. Except they weren't "Squares". They were SCARES: Yes, that's right. Sainsbury's is still selling the Halloween themed variant of Gooey Marshmallow Squares (called Ooey Gooey Marshmallow) at the end of March. Almost 5 whole months have passed since Halloween and even after we've had Christmas, New Year, Valentine's day and Pancake day we are still getting these. At this point some may even see this as a premature tie-in to THIS year's Halloween. But seriously, Here's the best explanation I can come up with for why this is happening: Perhaps they WERE originally sent to store shelves all that time ago before last year's Halloween. But they must have greatly overestimated how many of these would be sold during the Halloween period, to the point that they still haven't been able to se...

Colin the Caterpillar Softies Review

Image
So, after my first blog post where I reviewed sweets from a Spanish company that aren't very widely available here, I have decided that for my second blog post I will review sweets that are native to Great Britain. The ones I am talking about go by the name:                  Colin the Caterpillar Softies For those who don't know, they are a first party product of British retailer "Marks and Spencer". Part of their "Colin the Caterpillar" range which also consists of a chocolate cake(maybe I'll talk more about that another time). These "Raspberry & Milk Flavoured Foam Sweets" have a very nice taste and I really like the foamy feel of them. Each bag of contains around 18 Caterpillars inside them. I don't know about you but this looks like a rather unsatisfactory amount  to have which is why I typically like to buy 2 bags during 1 visit to M&S. Now that's more like it! Being of a similar size and shape to the "Tornadoes"...

Fini Tornadoes Smooth Strawberry Review

It was on this very day (9th March 2025) that I, Misha Alexander Whitman, finally created my very own blog. And what I feel to be a great way to start it is to bring attention to these delicious sweets made by some Spanish company called "FINI GOLOSINAS ESPAÑA, S.L.U." that to me, appear to not be getting the attention that they deserve. The sweets that I am talking about here are called " Tornadoes" Specifically the "Smooth Strawberry" flavour (there is also a "Smooth Raspberry" flavour with a blue  outside instead of a pink one). I've been having these every now and then for over a year now and I do not regret it. They have an amazingly unusual flavour that can not simply be described as "like strawberries". You really have to try it yourself to truly see what I am talking about. I feel quite confident in saying that each individual Tornado will taste great. ...but why stop there when you can have a bunch of them all at once? As s...
